Installing the Brightspace Pulse Mobile App

What is Brightspace Pulse?

Brightspace Pulse is the official mobile app from D2L that helps students stay connected to their courses, track assignments and due dates, receive notifications, view grades, and access course content from their mobile devices.

Install Brightspace Pulse on iPhone (iOS)

Step 1: Open the App Store

1. Unlock your iPhone.

2. Open the App Store.

Step 2: Search for Brightspace Pulse

1. Tap the Search icon.

2. Type Brightspace Pulse.

3. Look for the app developed by D2L Corporation.

Step 3: Download the App

1. Tap Get.

2. If prompted, verify with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password.

3. Wait for the installation to complete.

Step 4: Open the App

1. Tap Open from the App Store, or

2. Locate the Brightspace Pulse icon on your home screen.

Step 5: Find Your School

1. Tap Pick My School or Find Your School.

2. Search for Northeast State Community College.

3. Select the college from the results.

Step 6: Sign In

1. Enter your Northeast State username and password.

2. Complete any required multi-factor authentication (MFA) steps.

3. Allow notifications when prompted so you can receive course updates and reminders.

Install Brightspace Pulse on Android

Step 1: Open Google Play Store

1. Unlock your Android device.

2. Open the Google Play Store.

Step 2: Search for Brightspace Pulse

1. Tap the search bar.

2. Type Brightspace Pulse.

3. Select the app developed by D2L Corporation.

Step 3: Install the App

1. Tap Install.

2. Wait for the download and installation to complete.

Step 4: Open the App

1. Tap Open, or

2. Locate the Brightspace Pulse icon in your app drawer.

Step 5: Find Your School

1. Tap Pick My School or Find Your School.

2. Search for Northeast State Community College.

3. Select the college from the list.

Step 6: Sign In

1. Enter your Northeast State username and password.

2. Complete any required multi-factor authentication (MFA) steps.

3. Allow notifications to receive course announcements, assignment reminders, and grade updates.

Troubleshooting Tips

Can't Find Your School?

• Verify that you searched for Northeast State Community College.

• Try searching using only Northeast State.

Unable to Log In?

• Verify your Northeast State username and password.

• Complete any MFA prompts.

• Try logging in through a web browser to confirm your account is working.

Notifications Not Working?

• Check that notifications are enabled for Brightspace Pulse in your device settings.

• Ensure the app is updated to the latest version.
